This patented flexible slicker brush makes grooming a pleasure.  Developed for professional use, the blue ‘doodle’ brush provides firm flexibility with extra long bent wire bristles – specifically designed to penetrate dense, wavy or curly coats.  The dual head design, provides two different bristle textures, one to stretch and straighten the coat (during drying) and the other to diffuse and separate the hair for improved volume and shape.  This brush is primarily a ‘finishing’ tool and, whilst it’s happy to remove minor tangles, it should never be used for dematting.

How do I use it?

Although this brush is very similar to a traditional slicker, the flexible design requires a more controlled brushing technique.  For the best results, and to prolong its working life, we recommend using the brush in a steady cyclical motion, patting (with moderate pressure) and straightening the coat as you work.  Avoid brushing from side to side or over bending the brush as this may dislodge the pin pads and damage the tines.  Switching between brushes, will help you achieve quicker results, whilst help preserve the coat and avoid hand fatigue.

What breeds can I use it with?

This particular brush has been developed specifically for curly coated breeds, including Poodles, Bichons and similar ‘hybrids’.  Both the flexibility and pin specification have been purposely designed to tackle the natural characteristics of these breeds, helping to penetrate their coats more efficiently with fast, effective results.
