Andis Pulse ZR 2 (Galaxy) Cordless Clipper

The Andis Pulse ZR 2 (Galaxy) cordless clipper is currently the only cordless clipper available with 5 speed settings.  Whilst this may seem a bit excessive for cutting hair, it provides owners total versatility in tackling any breed – big or small.  This updated version comes complete with two interchangeable battery packs, enabling owners to work almost continuously, by exchanging batteries.  If you’re upgrading from a slower clipper, you may want to consider switching to ‘ceramic’ clipper blades.  This will help control blade surface temperature, particularly when using the clipper at high speed.

Features & Benefits:

The best feature of the Andis Pulse ZR is it’s ability to change cutting speed on the fly.  The visual indicator lets you know exactly what speed the clipper is doing and, if you decide to take a break, it will restart exactly where you left off.  It’s worth noting that, even at its slowest speed, the Andis Pulse ZR is as fast as some rival clippers.  As such, we recommend using the highest speeds intermittently, in order to prevent blades from overheating and, to prolong the life of wearable parts.  The Andis Pulse ZR comes complete with a #10 ‘ceramic’ detachable blade, which is designed to run cooler and stay sharper than traditional all-steel blades.  Whilst this blade is relatively close cutting (1.6mm), it can still be used in a variety of clipping tasks, including use with guards and comb attachments.

Does it need servicing?

Like most electrical appliances, occasional maintenance and servicing are essential to keep the product in good working order.  Whilst some tasks may demand the experience and skills of a technician, others are easy enough for owners to tackle themselves.  If the clipper is in frequent, daily use, we recommend having it examined by an approved Andis service agent every 12-18 months.  In between these times, owners should monitor the condition of wearable parts and, replace these as and when required.
