How do I use them?

Although these brushes are very similar to traditional slickers, their flexible design requires a more controlled brushing technique.  For the best results, and to prolong their working life, we recommend using them in a rhythmic cyclical motion, lifting and stretching the coat as you work.  Avoid brushing from side to side or over bending the brush as this may dislodge the pin pads and damage the pins.  If excessive pressure is needed to penetrate the coat, switch to a firmer brush for more effective results.

The Pro ‘Doodle’ Brush is designed for dense, wavy and curly coats.  As such, we recommend it for the following breeds: Poodle, Bichon, Labradoodle, Cockerpoo and other ‘hybrid’ mixed breeds.
The Pro ‘Deshedding’ Brush is designed for double-coated, coarse, thick and heavier coats.  As such, we recommend it for the following breeds: Akita, Alaskan Malamute, Bernese Montain Dog, Chow Chow, Collies, Newfoundland, Portuguese Water Dogs, Samoyed and Giant Schnauzer.
The Pro ‘Finishing’ Brush is designed for soft, fine and silky coats.  As such, we recommend it for the following breeds: Afghan, Bichon Frise, Maltese, Papillon, Pekingese, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle and West Highland Terrier.
