Originally considered a ‘cheat’ for anyone wanting to avoid tedious scissor work, combs attachments are now widely used to create longer pet styles with speed and efficiency.  This change of heart has much to do with their design which, moved from being plastic to metal, significantly improving strength and rigidity.  This gave groomers new confidence to experiment and, opting for a fine (#30) blade, discover a finish previously considered unattainable using clippers.  Today, comb attachments are generally considered a go-to finishing tool for many breeds.

The Mastercut 9-piece set contains combs ranging from 3mm (#1) to 32mm (#8).  They are quick and easy to attach to any ‘flat-faced’ clipper blade such as #10, #15 or #30.  Each comb has been designed to fit securely, using a proven sprung loaded design, preventing movement during clipping.  Individual stainless steel teeth are shaped to penetrate and glide through the coat smoothly without snagging.  Comes complete with a hard storage case to keep the combs clean and organised.

How do I use them?

Mastercut comb attachments are easy to fit, with a traditional pressure spring design.
• Choose a Mastercut #30w or #15w blade.
• Attach the comb by first hooking it to the base of the blade.
• Push the comb firmly forwards, until it drops into position over the blade.
• Ensure the comb is seated correctly before starting the clipper.
